This is a precious soul who needs much prayer. She arrived malnourished and unable to walk due to bugs in her feet. We found she has a cleft palate and are fighting with the local government for surgery. Not an easy task, here!

Carine likes playing dolls with her big sister, Carla. She loves hugs from any lady that comes on site. She is starting to run and skip a little and we are excited to watch her development.

She likes rice and beans and to peak glances at strangers while she is eating.

What will she be when she grows up? #1 a child of God. After that, the sky is the limit.

I cornered Carla as she came back from the dentist. It was no surprise she wants to be a dentist when she grows up. “One that doesn’t hurt people. This dentist didn’t hurt!”

With free time, Carla likes to play dolls with her little sister in her room. She loves that she has a room with a bed. She also likes to play tag outside, but only while carrying around her dolls.

Her favorite food: Beef and rice with cookies for dessert.

Likes Matchbox cars and he loves his monkey. In the park he is the first on the teeter totter. His favorite food is chocolate cake and oatmeal.

When asked what he wants to be when he grows up, he just smiles at me and says yes to whatever I suggest!

Carlos Henrique is also known as Caique.

Goal: To serve in the Marines or become a clown.

Dayane wants to visit her sponsor, Paul. She loves to play at the beach because she has so much fun playing in the water. Although she does not have a bicycle, she likes to ride bikes. Her favorite food is French fries.

LOVES to play soccer. When he came he could barely walk, so it is a joy to see him playing! If you could play soccer anywhere, it would be at the beach. His favorite toys are match box cars.

Felipe’s favorite food is “really good rice”. He also likes bananas.

When he grows up he would like to be an emergency room doctor to help accident victims and victims of gun shots. Great calling!

Henrique likes to play with little cars in the park. His favorite toy is just about anything he can use to swing in a circle with his fingers.

Ila loves hugs! Barbie comes in second. She likes to play dolls with the girls in her house. She also likes to go to the beach and jump into the waves.

Ila's favorite foods are rice, noodles and chocolate -- I assume not all together!

When she grows up she wants to be a cook. I asked why? "Because I want to give food to the poor."

Filho absolutely could not walk due to bugs in his feet when he got to us. What a joy to see him run and climb trees now! It is a challenge to get him to come inside.

We have no idea what he wants to be when he grows up! But we know God is directing his path.
